When Black Media Shows it’s Limitations

Duane Brayboy, the founder and editor of Blackinformant.com  offers a stinging critique of the black media and asks, ‘Embassies are being attacked and what are we talking about?’.

Currently, the Middle East is on fire as multiple US embassies have been attacked by Islamic forces. While we may all have our complaints about CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc. and how they cover the news in general, at least they are talking about this situation in great detail. Where is Black media? I challenge you. Take a look at some of the more popular Black “news” websites.

Embassies are being attacked and what are we talking about? “Why Interracial Couples Shouldn’t Discuss Race”, “D.L. Hughley on Lupe Fiasco”, and of course, reason number 1,343,666 why Romney is a racist–GO OBAMA!! But when it comes to more pressing issues that remove us from the ghettos of the Internet into mainstream global issues, oftentimes these Black media outlets prefer to stay in the ghetto.
